Road Trip

I am back! Wow did I have some lessons to learn this past week road tripping from Indiana to New Mexico and back!  I will try to keep it simple as what was observed.

1. Hitch-hikers along the route holding signs at gas stations in Missouri, Texas, and mostly in New Mexico on Route 66.
2. Businesses expanding in many locations through St. Louis, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Amarillo.
3. Gas prices lowest in Oklahoma and highest in New Mexico.  We skipped getting gas in Illinois and New Mexico.
4. It is possible to survive a trip with five awesome kids!
5. Two times we had tire issues and after 8 PM, good luck at finding a place open for tire repair in Indianapolis.
6. It is possible to go six hours, in a vehicle without talking to your spouse...LOL!
7. A fun rest stop is in Missouri, at the World's Largest Gift Shop and Candy Store!
8. At home there was a church holding a movie night with free food at a neighborhood park.  In the middle of the movie, for intermission, a moment was shared for a testimonial and half of the people got up and left shouting, "this is like church stuff  and we don't want to hear about God garbage" and grabbed their kids and left their blankets and sheets on the ground where they were sitting.
9. Many people I met were concerned about their health and paying for example over $200.00 for blood pressure medicine and similar medicines.  Concerned over having a second job.  Upset their retirement is not enough and needing to work.  Some not having a retirement and working past 70 years of age.
10. People in Oklahoma, head to the casinos in hopes to win and deal with losing their hard earned cash.
11. Meth is prevalent and growing in usage for those feeling at loss, more house break-ins heard in the news and seen.  It is common to see when economy is down crime is on the rise and people get creative.
12. New housing and construction going on in several locations that seem to be thriving.
13. There is nothing like eating southern smoked BBQ beef ribs!

I will end on this note: People we are living in tough times and we live in a country of hope and prosperity.  Don't throw your money and talent away turning to casinos and drugs!  Don't lose your faith in God! There are ways to leverage your time for money instead of being leveraged yourself to get ahead.  If you are doing what everyone else is doing you will end up broke or living on a fixed income living on less as expenses goes up.  Let's change this scene and get ahead for God does not give us dreams without a means to achieve them.  Life is about choices and today is the day to make the decision to make the difference for yourself and your family!  Contact me and I would love to help you live healthier and wealthier.  Let's enjoy our true freedom!

Sincerely,
Foy

What? There Are Supplements That Help Fight Against Skin Cancer and Assists Healthy Aging!

Just wanted to share some news I received from Dr. Turner on taking supplements that help us concerning Summer Sun vs. Skin!
HAVE A BLESSED MEMORIAL DAY & SUMMER!!!
Supplements for Radiant Summer Skin
Dear Foy,

By Natasha Turner, ND

Stay hot this summer with these guidelines designed to keep you safe, sunburn-free and looking great. If you plan to spend time in the sun, remember you never want to burn or get overheated.
Healthy Sun Guidelines

Exposure guidelines
Sunlight, in reasonable doses, enables natural immunity, promotes skin growth and healing, stimulates hormone production and contributes to an overall sense of well-being. Getting 15 to 20 minutes of sunlight a day enables the body to manufacture vitamin D. Sun is also responsible for the synthesis of the pigment melanin, which is the skin's natural sunscreen.

Don't hide from the sun! You need to be safe in the sun, but do not block it out completely unless you have skin cancer or another condition which should not be exposed to the sun. The sun is at its peak between 11 am and 3 pm. Use caution in the sun during peak hours by covering up with light clothing and using a broad-spectrum sunscreen of SPF 15 or higher. Gradually working up to an hour per day-outside of prime hours and wearing a hat to protect your face-should be relatively safe for most adults.

Dietary recommendations that will help to protect your skin
Certain dietary habits such as reducing your saturated fat intake (as in meats and dairy products), increasing your intake of essential fatty acids (like those in fish, nuts, avocados and olive oil) as well as a high intake (five or more) of vegetables and fruits that are rich in antioxidants (flavonoids) may also reduce your skin cancer risk.

Supplements for healthy skin
There are nutrients that you can take to help keep your skin healthy and young looking, as well as reduce your risk of skin cancer.

Vitamin C: Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and a component of collagen. It is also essential for tissue repair, healing and a healthy immune response. Typical dose is 500 - 3,000 mg per day.

Zinc: Like vitamin C, zinc is an antioxidant. It is essential for tissue repair and healing and is a component of collagen. Typical dose is 15 - 50 mg per day.

Vitamin E: Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that has been found effective in reducing the risk of skin cancers. Mixed vitamin E is the most beneficial, like that in TrueBASICS.

Vitamin A: Another powerful antioxidant that has been found effective for reducing the risk of skin cancer is vitamin A. Typical dose is 10,000 IU per day. If you are pregnant, do not take supplements containing vitamin A beyond that in your prenatal vitamin.

Omega 3 fats: Omega 3s are naturally anti-inflammatory and are highly moisturizing to the skin. They are beneficial for the heart, brain and eyes too!

Selenium: Selenium is yet another antioxidant that has great promise in reducing the incidence of skin cancer and other types of cancer.

Check out TrueBASICS, TrueANTIOXIDANT/PROTECT and TrueOMEGA. These three products, when taken daily, will help provide you with the support you need for great skin.

Use a good moisturizer
A recent study found that topical application of the antioxidant coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) improved the skin's resistance to the oxidative stress of UV radiation, and when applied long-term, could reduce crow's feet.

Drink water!
We can get dehydrated very quickly in the sun which can make us look older, quicker! Drink at least 2 liters of water each day-more if you are exercising.

Honoring Our Heroes

 Honor Flight 2012

Here I am at Midway Airport to honor our WWII Veterans with Memorial Ceremony, where we flew them to Washington DC to see their War Memorial with military escorts waiting there for them and give a tour around Washington DC.  Then we received them with a huge Welcome Home Ceremony.  The day started at 0300 hours and ended at 2400 hours Wednesday night.

I don't have a photo here of when the LtCol and I were personal escorts to Lennon Lehman, the first black USMC troop to enter the Marine Corp.  He will be receiving on 26 June 2012, the Congressional Medal of Honor in Washington DC, by President Obama.

The Navy Captain is in for a surprise, as the USAF LtCol and I have arranged for a US Flag to be flown on an Amphibious ship in the Persian Gulf for his retirement ceremony coming up soon.  The LtCol is prior Navy and an awesome dentist!

The LtCol is giving me a history lesson on the USS Midway, where his dad had served during WWII.

Here is a WWII Army Air Corps PFC, explaining what it was like for him on D-Day as a waste gunner on the B-17, Flying Fortress.

LtCol Jackson, a Tuskegee Airman, is excited to see me again.  We had met on a few occasions at my base.  We first met in 2005, as I was new to Indiana, and had four tours with the 332nd Air Wing, the historical unit of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Soon after I was sent to Iraq, I was under the 332nd once again!
The LtCol sees me as a fellow Red Tail on the ground!

LtCol Jackson can't believe he is seeing me in Chicago!  He tells the commercial pilots before boarding he isn't sure about flying with them as they are too slow for him.  What a sense of humor!  No they are nothing like the P-51 Mustangs!

We flew 90 WWII veterans to Washington DC and back that day!  There was not a dry eye around.  When they got back we saluted them and followed after marching two a breast through the airport terminal.  All branches were represented in uniform.  The Chicago Police and Fire Department Bag Pipers, Navy Band and Frankfurt Band was amazing!  The WWII Vets were touched and then we were all met with American Flags and salutes from 133 Viet Nam Vets from the Viet Nam Motorcycle Club.

There were also WWII Vets that were survivors of Bataan, Battle of the Bulge, Navy WAV, Navy Nurse, B-17 pilots and B-26 pilots, Patton Tank driver, etc.  It was truly amazing!

Here I am with the most beautiful woman and the one who has the toughest job - my lovely wife!

My grandfather and his five brothers all served in WWII in each branch of service and he and his oldest brother were in the US Army.  My grandfather served under Patton as an MP on the Red Ball Express and later was an MP in the Army Air Corps

His older brother Glen served in 101st Airborne in WWII, Korea, Viet Nam and retired.  All of them survived.

My wife's grandfather was a US Marine MP on the US Lexington in WWII and met her grandmother a US WAV at Great Lakes, IL  and they were married three weeks later on the USS Roosevelt.

If if wasn't for these great men and women we would not be the wonderful nation we are today!  To their great service and sacrifice we salute them!  God Bless America!

What Is Wrong

Okay I need feedback.  Several people visit this blog and leave no comments.  I am open to feedback.  Goal has been to reach out to people and share what God had blessed me with after years of praying for an answer.  Sad thing is the economy is getting worse and when the dollar tanks so does our employment.  This is the time like in 1930's when there was a big shift in wealth.  Those who were invested properly prospered while others even big businesses lost everything or nearly everything.  History has a way of repeating itself.  Some of the information I have learned goes back to the fall of the Roman Empire.  No not dooms day stuff here; however, look around at those with out jobs.  People are doing more on less today because the employers cannot pay retirement.  Social Security is going away.  Baby Boomers are at the age now to collect and the debt is getting deeper.  When there are tons of cutbacks and no growth what does that mean for us?

In my job I am mocked at being at a dead end for nine years.  I am doing more than what is required for my job and having to hang on to keep what I have already.  How many of you have to pass a physical fitness test that is the basis of you keeping your job or getting a pay cut?  Businesses are getting creative in ways to get rid of us.

Yesterday a girl at the service station lost her primary job for 12 years, as a dental assistant.  Reason: they needed to cut back on expenses.

If you are working a J.O.B. you are getting taxed heavily.  The middle class is now becoming the lower class. Goal is to keep you dependent to work more for less and promise you a retirement and cut you out once you get close to collect.  Years of your life spent to get a dream and end up with nothing in the end... and thanks for your service!

Not cool!  Totally unethical and it goes on every day and every where.

Looked at Craigs List at people searching for jobs and careers to see people are offering themselves for modeling and sex to make income.  This is pathetic!  People are looking for people to house them and pay them for work.

You need a business folks to make additional income and generate leverage so you are not so dependent on a job when the axe hits.

Look forward to hearing from you and get some opinions going here!

Sincerely,
Foy

Facts On Omega-3

Latest Message to me from Dr. Campitelli

Now this is message is Fishy....LOL!  I learned a lot about fish oil, and thought readers of my blog..YOU... would really like to know too!  One of my personal goals is to increase our Learning to improve our Living!  Love to have your feedback on this post or any post!  By the way thanks for visiting and your feedback helps me to help you better...besides I enjoy and love helping and interacting with people!!!

Get your Omega-3s!
Dear Foy,

 By Dr. Andra Campitelli, ND

The benefits of eating omega-3 fatty acids are never-ending, from increasing energy, assisting in cardiovascular condition and inflammation to nervous system and mental health support.  Consuming omega-3s isn't just a trend, it's necessary for our well-being!

Omega-3s are a form of essential fatty acids (EFAs), meaning they are a form of fats that we must consume in the diet or via supplementation because the body can't make them on its own.

Unfortunately, despite the importance of adequate amounts of omega-3, most North Americans are deficient in omega-3 and tend to over-consume omega-6 fatty acids, which are abundant in our diet. Although it is necessary to consume both omega-3 and omega-6, we want to keep it in a balanced ratio of approximately 4:1. However, North Americans are consuming omega-6 and omega-3 in a ratio closer to 20:1.  Such a high intake of omega-6 may contribute to inflammation and will throw off the balance between the two fatty acids.

Although we will find omega-3 EFAs in sources such as walnuts, almonds, eggs and avocados, the richest source of omega-3 comes from fish because fish is extremely high in EPA and DHA, two crucial fatty acids.  The problem is that even consuming fish several times a week may not provide adequate amounts and concerns about environmental toxins, such as mercury in fish, mean many people limit their consumption.

The solution to this problem is supplementation with a good quality fish oil, such as Truestar's TrueOmega, an enterically-coated, high-quality fish oil. Many fish oil capsules are now enteric coated, preventing them from dissolving in the stomach. This allows the fish oil to dissolve in the intestine, which may prevent "repeating" of the fish oil. However, higher quality fish oil tends not to have this same repeating effect.

Krill oil supplementation has recently become a popular omega-3 source supplement option. Krill are shrimp-like crustaceans that are a vital part of the marine food chain. Omega-3 fish oil are generally sourced from sardines and anchovies and krill oil has comparable amounts of EPA and DHA, but there are concerns about the sustainability of krill and many countries, including parts of the United States and Norway, are banning krill fishing altogether.
The dosage of fish oil varies based on age. Children, for example, are best to supplement with a fish oil that has a higher DHA content, in the range of 500 mg daily. This is to support neurological function and development. TrueOmega boasts this higher DHA: EPA content. Adults require a higher dosage, generally with a higher ratio of EPA: DHA. Although the minimum dose is a recommended 650 mg of a combination of EPA and DHA; generally, 1000 mg will provide the desired health benefits. TrueBASICS for Men/Women or TrueBASICS A/O all contain 1000 mg of EFAs, with that higher amount of EPA in each individual sachet.

Below is a list of some of the key benefits that may be provided through fish oil supplementation:

EPA
  • heart health & circulatory system support
  • healthy triglyceride levels
  • immune function support
  • mood and emotional well-being
  • joint flexibility
  • Inflammatory support

DHA
  • healthy brain function
  • aging mind support
  • healthy pregnancy
  • mood and emotional well-being
  • behavior, focus and learning in children
  • healthy visual and brain development in fetuses/infants

Dedicated To Reach Goal Lord Willing

Everyday we see people wanting to get ahead and plagued with deception and negativity. I do NOT believe God is so cruel to give us dreams without a means to achieve them.
 My personal goal is this:
1.  By 01 June 2012, to help 10 families or individuals to be in a position to make an additional income of $15,000 a month. In the first week  and not to exceed two weeks help those 10 families or individuals to make $1,750 within one week with my personal help and ambition.

2. This Wednesday, I am hosting a 5K Run/Walk for National Police Week and all proceeds go to the families of police officers who have given their lives in the line of duty.  First time to do this and hoping to send at least $2,500 to the charity!  Not bad when I live in a very small community surrounded by fields of corn and soybeans in Indiana...LOL!

How can I do this?  Honestly, with God's help it is not that hard for He has opened a door that only He could make available and I am the messenger!
1. I have experience in building a $172,000 business in two months from my own efforts.  At the age of 14, I raised $3,500 in one day of smoke detectors to go into the homes of the physically handicapped and senior citizens.  Pretty good for a kid in Oklahoma!

2. I work with a CEO who has built two businesses each to $1.6 billion in two years and made them public on the NYSE to sell for $1.8 billion.

3. I work with a legend in the industry who has always been the top producer with 33 years, of experience and even helped Robert Kiyosaki get launched as a #1 Best Seller with Rich Dad Poor Dad.

4. I work with another young man who has helped people build businesses to exceed over six figure monthly incomes.

Now make the last three lines that contains "I" your own statements.  This is the beginning of your story!  I can do it...you can do it!

When I put my mind to something and say I am going to do it, announce it, and write it down guess what happens?  I Do It!!  I am a man of integrity and nothing I have succeeded at was done without the Lords blessings! I firmly believe and know that to be true!

The only thing missing here is YOU!!!!

Love In Christ,
Foy Jamathan Cox

What? I Need To Take Supplements! The Doc Speaks!

I am sharing with you a message sent to me from DR Campitelli on why we should take supplements and what kind to take!!

Why do I need to take supplements?
Dear Foy,
By: Andra Campitelli, ND

The first thing I do every morning is take my supplements. So, what's my personal regime? Since I'm pretty active and have a fair bit of stress in my life, I start my day with my TrueBASICS A/O and TrueCoQ Plus for my full dose of multivitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I also take TrueEndurance to give me that much needed energy on a busy day and also to help my body manage the stressors in my life. If I'm going to go through an exceptionally stressful or busy period, I add in TrueStress Support. At night, after my work out (I'm a night owl!); I take my TrueRenew and TrueRepair for those amino acids and nutrients to help support and repair my muscles and joints.

I keep most of my supplements in my purse, so I remember to take them mid-day, and without fail, every time someone new sees me taking one of my supplements, I get asked the same question: "Do you really need to take those?" or "Why should I bother taking supplements, I'm healthy?"

So, why SHOULD people take supplements? And, does EVERYONE need to supplement?" My answer to this, without hesitation, is YES

The purpose of supplementation is to provide your body with the nutrients it needs to not only maintain optimal health and prevent deficiencies, but also to meet the demands under which it is placed daily. For the majority of us, getting in our exercise and required dose of fruits and veggies daily is a struggle! The new recommended daily intake of fruits and veggies is actually  10 to 13 servings and I know very few people who manage to achieve anything close to that. Unfortunately, the quality of our foods just isn't what it used to be. I still highly recommend consuming as many fruits and vegetables as possible, as the health benefits are indisputable, but due to the use of fertilizers, our soils and our food just don't contain the same levels of nutrients it used to.  For this reason, if we want to maintain optimal vitamin and mineral levels in our body, we have to supplement!  The American Medical Association even recommends that everyone supplement with a multivitamin daily, to ensure that we're getting the nutrients we need.

In addition to the reduced quality or our food, most of us expose our bodies to tremendous amounts of stress on a daily basis - environmental toxins, food additives, chemicals, unhealthy foods, alcohol... all of these things take a toll on the body and can disrupt our hormones levels, our vitamin stores and the way that the body functions. So, we need to take our supplements to counteract these daily disruptions!

The second most common question I get is: "What should I take for overall health?" Here are my personal favorites for maintaining optimal health for otherwise healthy individuals:
TrueBASICS for Men/Women or TrueBASICS A/O for athletes or those over 45 years of age, for a full dose of multivitamins and minerals and additional antioxidants for those who need them. TrueB Complex is essential for all those B vitamins, TrueStrength for the much needed, high-quality whey protein and lastly, TrueD for overall health.

So, make sure you're getting all of the supplements you need!
